"I presented in mid January 2018 with severe depression and anxiety to the doctor. Sympathetic started anti depressent medicines. Came back 1 month later still very poorly. Then saw a succession of locums who asked if I was suicidal or self harming. I said no but was by then unable to drive, becoming increasingly agorophobic. Friends rallied to do shopping, cooking, cleaning etc. .. Months continued asked repeatedly for more help and a referral to CMHT, denied. As I have had 2 hospital admissions in the last 14 years, one was a section and 1 was voluntary I should have been flagged up as 'Vulnerable; and needing more support. Panic attacks increased and rarely left house, asked friends to stay with me, but all working and unable to. Beginning of November a friend rang in and caused a bit of a fuss, said she would take thinks further. Got a call and from CMHT and emergency appointment to see psychiatrist, had to be driven there by a friend. Crying, anxious and disorientated. In November finally got access to CMHT. Support worker, case worker and later an O.T. right leve of medication took away anxiety."
