"I started to sweat a lot at night. The water is pouring out of me, my bed sheets are soaked with my body fluid. I can swim in my bed. I went to the GP for help. They told me , I will have some tests done. My thyroid tests were abnormal and later they were normal. Go to,d me to buy an antiperspirant roller unde my arms, which do not help, 2 years ago I was asked to be put on statins ( I have a paperwork on it) and this doctor did not have a record of this at all, What is happening to my medical records? I am on Benecol and my cholesterol is better. But it is worrying what is happening in this practise with medical records. They have not sorted my sweating problem. I went for my x ray and had to chance the results up, which they had no record of. I was told GP is going to call me back about the results. There is no care in this practise, it very unfriendly and awful. The service is not there, you have to demand everything rather than they following correct protocol on how to care for patients and keep their medical records safe. I am not happy the way the practise operates so far."

Dr Ko Ko Laing qualified in 1989, his previous surgery in Victory Road merged with the Portsdown Group in April 2010. He is a highly experienced GP, is based in Kingston Crescent Surgery he has a number of special interest which includes medicine, rheumatology and joint injections. He is a keen tennis player and also enjoys travel.

Dr Peter Kipgen

Dr Kipgen qualified from Barts and the London Medical School in 2006 (MBBS). He completed his GP training in Dorset in 2015 (MRCGP). He has a broad range of experience gained from hospital posts earlier in his career; these include paediatrics, sexual health, orthopaedics and emergency medicine. In his spare time he enjoys hill-walking and is a keen amateur chef. He also enjoys playing and watching sport especially rugby and football.

Dr Philip Monnery qualified from ST George’s Hospital Medical School in 1991, Undertaking a career in the Royal Air force. Initially undertaking surgical training and specialising in Ear, Nose and Throat he became a consultant in the Military in 2006. A change in life goals meant a change to general practice in 2009. He joined Portsdown Group Practice in 2015 and maintains his special interest in ENT and is responsible for the Portsdown Travel Clinic. He is married to Alison and has three children who keep them both very busy. He likes nothing better than to relax in the garden and is frequently seen with either a chainsaw or an axe, what could go wrong!?

Dr Catherine Tuson

Qualifications - BSc, MBChB, MRCGP

Dr Cat Tuson graduated from Warwick University in 2007 and joined the Practice in 2013 having completed her GP training in the North East of England. She has a special interest in orthopaedics and joint injections and also in women’s health.
