"I've had several issues with the prescription ordering service. I recently called over a week in advance to order medication as I was going on holiday and would run out while I was away. I rang over a week in advance leaving my contact details and heard no more. When I went to collect my prescription this evening (7th) I was informed that while it had been processed it wouldn't be released to me until the 14th when it was due. I explained the situation to the receptionist I was told, very nicely, that as I hadn't stated on the automated system that I was going away nothing could be done and could I come back tomorrow. I explained that as I'd taken time off work to get there on the day in question I could not and was told there was nothing could be done. I asked that if there was a query as to why I was requesting my medication earlier shouldn't someone have called me and was told that she wouldn't know as the prescriptions team go home at 16:00 I asked to make a complaint and was told someone could get back to me within 72 hours. If you work for a living or have no plans to leave the immediate area avoid this practice."
