"I have a serious ongoing spinal issue, for which i have had several operations and implants. I am on continuous medication due to the damage but the elder doctor refuses to prescribe me the pain medication i need and have taken repeatedly for over 4 years. Her refusal to do such significantly impacts my quality of life. The female doctor is fantastic and i would highly recommend her as she always explains fully her decisions but offers alternatives when my medication has been blacklisted by the NHS. I strongly recommend you do not see one particular doctor as she does not consider your medical history and ongoing condition. Other people that i know have also had the same problems with her refusing to prescribe necessary medications which have been taken for a decade!"

Dr Ko Ko Laing qualified in 1989, his previous surgery in Victory Road merged with the Portsdown Group in April 2010. He is a highly experienced GP, is based in Kingston Crescent Surgery he has a number of special interest which includes medicine, rheumatology and joint injections. He is a keen tennis player and also enjoys travel.

Dr Kipgen qualified from Barts and the London Medical School in 2006 (MBBS). He completed his GP training in Dorset in 2015 (MRCGP). He has a broad range of experience gained from hospital posts earlier in his career; these include paediatrics, sexual health, orthopaedics and emergency medicine. In his spare time he enjoys hill-walking and is a keen amateur chef. He also enjoys playing and watching sport especially rugby and football.

He joined Portsdown Group Practice in 2015 and maintains his special interest in ENT and is responsible for the Portsdown Travel Clinic. He is married to Alison and has three children who keep them both very busy. He likes nothing better than to relax in the garden and is frequently seen with either a chainsaw or an axe, what could go wrong!?

Dr Catherine Tuson

Dr Cat Tuson graduated from Warwick University in 2007 and joined the Practice in 2013 having completed her GP training in the North East of England. She has a special interest in orthopaedics and joint injections and also in women’s health.
