"Iâve only been a patient at the practice since summer 2018 I work in a GPâs surgery so understand the pressures everyone is under. I do not feel the current appointment system at the practice is working & find it is not very accommodating to patients that work. I am registered for the practices online service but whenever I try to make an appointment on any day with any GP no matter how far in advance I may wish to book there is never any availability & the scenario is the same when either ringing for an appointment or actually calling into the surgery in person to make an appointment. Also I havenât seen any information regarding the surgery having late night appointments or extended hours appointments to accommodate patients who do work & who maybe do not work in the local area or are shift workers etc & therefore find it difficult to come into the surgery during ânormalâ surgery hours, so I presume the surgery does not offer that service? On a more positive note when I have seen a Dr at the surgery I have on most occasions been satisfied with the care I have received. I have also raised my concerns with the practice manager & am awaiting a response. Hopefully a solution can be found to the present problems, one solution I donât think is very helpful or will help solve the current problems, is been told by a senior reception staff member to âregister elsewhereâ!"
