"I attended at 10 to 2 for a 2pm appointment at Trinity Practice for an asthma review. My appointment was at 2pm. At 10 past 2 I heard my name mentioned during a phone conversation the receptionist was having. To cut a very long story short, my appointment, for which I had signed in on the computer and the message was clear. 2pm appointment with the nurse and 0 waiting time.

I have received 3 texts telling me that this appointment was at 2pm at Trinity Surgery, where I am a patient. They were received on 9th, 21st and again on the morning of the 28th July.

I was told when I asked the receptionist what was happening that she was on the phone to St. Mark's Surgery, where my appointment was to be. Another man in the waiting room, who had a 2.20 appointment was also called over.

Together we walked to St. Mark's.

I have several questions:

Why was the appointment at St. Mark's in the first place?
Why was I allowed to sign in at Trinity and given no indication at that point that I was in the wrong place?
Why did no-one physically tell me or text me that the appointment was somewhere else?

In addition, the nurse, who I eventually saw at 2.20 at St. Mark's asked me to make another appointment in a month's time. This involved the receptionist there having to make use of two different computers and then booking me an appointment for Monday 23rd July at 3.20. However all she was able to log was "Trinity Patient". Because I was not from St. Mark's she could not enter my name or date of birth.

Can you assure me that when I arrive at St. Mark's this appointment will exist?
Is it likely you will be send me texts in the lead up asking me to attend Trinity?

I realise all this is not the fault of any one person rather of the systems involved.

I suggest someone sorts this out. Myself and the other man who were inconvenienced were able to walk the distance to the other surgery, you will at some point have someone who is disabled and can't.

I would very much like some explanations and reassurances about all this, in particular an assurance that the appointment as above, is listed in my name and will be at St. Mark's.
