"I contacted Hunstanton surgery at 8am for an emergency appointment. I was on the line for eight minutes until I finally got through. I was then told no appointments were available and a doctor could call back to âtry to help over the phoneâ.
I believed I was suffering with an infection to my chest due to the amount of mucus coming off it. However, a telephone call with a doctor told me this was only a cold. Iâm an asthma sufferers who has previously contracted latent TB and despite this often refuse to use this medical surgery even when Iâm struggling because I consistently feel palmed off. I was offered an appointment for the following day despite making clear Iâd been in the same state for five days. Bar one doctor at this surgery, I have always felt let down by the service I received. To the manner in which I am dismissed with always makes me contemplate whether I was faking the symptoms I know to be true. If a doctor can talk to me for five minutes on the phone; how can that not be five minutes they can see me face to face? I feel let down as a patient at Hunstanton surgery."
