"There are not enough words to explain what a brilliant/caring and professional Nurse Carol from Streatfield Surgery has been to myself and all of my family. She is and has always been there for all of us, if it wasnât for her perseverance in getting a blood test redone for my brother she wouldnât have found the leukaemia he had and then sent him for immediate treatment I donât think he would be here now. She cured my ulcerated leg for months until cured helped me during my kidney operations changed my dressings and health checks for months, diabetes checks, regular blood tests and treatments the list goes on!!!! Looks after my parents through Diabetes and COPD regular checkups and blood tests calls to see we are all alright and if we need anything regularly. During Covid she was there for us all throughout. Health check appointments for us all. Myself and my family would be truly lost without her care and depend on her she is an excellent physician and everyone who is lucky enough to be cared for by Carol is truly blessed we are so glad she is at Streatfield Surgery we donât know wot we would do without her or her superb care."

Dr Ko Ko Laing qualified in 1989, his previous surgery in Victory Road merged with the Portsdown Group in April 2010. He is a highly experienced GP, is based in Kingston Crescent Surgery he has a number of special interest which includes medicine, rheumatology and joint injections. He is a keen tennis player and also enjoys travel.

Dr Peter Kipgen

Dr Kipgen qualified from Barts and the London Medical School in 2006 (MBBS). He completed his GP training in Dorset in 2015 (MRCGP). He has a broad range of experience gained from hospital posts earlier in his career; these include paediatrics, sexual health, orthopaedics and emergency medicine. In his spare time he enjoys hill-walking and is a keen amateur chef. He also enjoys playing and watching sport especially rugby and football.

Dr Philip Monnery qualified from ST George’s Hospital Medical School in 1991, Undertaking a career in the Royal Air force. Initially undertaking surgical training and specialising in Ear, Nose and Throat he became a consultant in the Military in 2006. A change in life goals meant a change to general practice in 2009. He joined Portsdown Group Practice in 2015 and maintains his special interest in ENT and is responsible for the Portsdown Travel Clinic. He is married to Alison and has three children who keep them both very busy. He likes nothing better than to relax in the garden and is frequently seen with either a chainsaw or an axe, what could go wrong!?

Dr Catherine Tuson

Qualifications - BSc, MBChB, MRCGP

Dr Cat Tuson graduated from Warwick University in 2007 and joined the Practice in 2013 having completed her GP training in the North East of England. She has a special interest in orthopaedics and joint injections and also in women’s health.
