"I had a telephone call back booked in today at 5:20pm. I kept me mobile phone with so as not to miss the call. It's now almost 9:00pm. Telephone call backs are listed and mine must still be outstanding! A poor show of care. There have been many other incidents but I didn't bother. The two receptionist I know very well are extremely polite and caring the one I spoke to yesterday assured me that one particular doctor will ring me! Was this proctively followed as a reminder before leaving the surgery for the day?? I even suggested that I am free and can come to the surgery. She reminded me it was a telephone call not an appointment. I said that was fine and can sit in the waiting area! Perhaps I should have to prompt the call. I find even when atrending a face to face appointment the delays extend to almost a full hour. I just don't understand how late a doctor can be running even if you are the 3rd appointment in the morning or the afternoon! Poor time management. NHS is all about treating patients with fair equity. This simply does not happen here at this surgery. Patients interact with doctors in the waiting area whilst in the middle of a clinic! The waiting area is small and if you take long with each patient there is a greater risk of passing germs to other waiting patients! Think about this!"

Dr Ko Ko Laing qualified in 1989, his previous surgery in Victory Road merged with the Portsdown Group in April 2010. He is a highly experienced GP, is based in Kingston Crescent Surgery he has a number of special interest which includes medicine, rheumatology and joint injections. He is a keen tennis player and also enjoys travel.

Dr Peter Kipgen

Dr Kipgen qualified from Barts and the London Medical School in 2006 (MBBS). He completed his GP training in Dorset in 2015 (MRCGP). He has a broad range of experience gained from hospital posts earlier in his career; these include paediatrics, sexual health, orthopaedics and emergency medicine. In his spare time he enjoys hill-walking and is a keen amateur chef. He also enjoys playing and watching sport especially rugby and football.

Dr Philip Monnery qualified from ST George’s Hospital Medical School in 1991, Undertaking a career in the Royal Air force. Initially undertaking surgical training and specialising in Ear, Nose and Throat he became a consultant in the Military in 2006. A change in life goals meant a change to general practice in 2009. He joined Portsdown Group Practice in 2015 and maintains his special interest in ENT and is responsible for the Portsdown Travel Clinic. He is married to Alison and has three children who keep them both very busy. He likes nothing better than to relax in the garden and is frequently seen with either a chainsaw or an axe, what could go wrong!?

Dr Catherine Tuson

Qualifications - BSc, MBChB, MRCGP

Dr Cat Tuson graduated from Warwick University in 2007 and joined the Practice in 2013 having completed her GP training in the North East of England. She has a special interest in orthopaedics and joint injections and also in women’s health.
