"This surgery has systems which operate to improve efficiency and ratings Iâm sure - however, this does not particularly benefit patients. Like many surgeries these days - the operating hours and systems suit the elderly, the unemployed and children. If you happen to work, then the telephone call with the Doctor before being granted an appointment is just not practical - and this system, along with no bookable appointments does not offer quality care.
Far far too much is done by telephone. It took 10days to be contacted with blood test results - and when I called the next day to speak to the Doctor I was told the telephone appointments were full. Due to my work commitments - this resulted in only a short window of opportunity on a Thursday morning to attempt to speak with a Doctor to discuss - 13 days after the bloods were done. Whilst not suffering from a chronic illness - I donât feel this is acceptable.
Despite the Lynemouth surgery being the closest - I feel the time has come to look further afield to find a surgery more suited to our needs."
