"My daughter & I have been registered at The Pike Practice now for 1 year. It was definitely the right move. I have a couple of chronic diseases & it is very important that I have confidence in my GP's abilities and that I can also trust my GP. During the year I have seen my GP, Nurses & of course the front of house team on a number of occassions, all of whom deliver an outstanding service. Thank you all. Our GP treats us with respect & dignity, takes the time to listen & will ask questions before offering invaluable advise, I have not felt, at any time, appointments are rushed. The nurses are equally outstanding, both our GP & nurses offer their advise and are happy to work with me as their patient to obtain the right & best outcome for me. The front of house team always smile, are helpful, accommodating, friendly & professional.
I highly recommend The Pike Practice to those looking for superior quality care and I believe my recommendation has prompted a couple of my neighbours to register, who are happy they did.
I am very grateful that we have The Pike Practice as our GP surgery, keep up your outstanding work, you are appreciated."

Qualifications - DGM, MBBS, MRCGP

Dr Ko Ko Laing qualified in 1989, his previous surgery in Victory Road merged with the Portsdown Group in April 2010. He is a highly experienced GP, is based in Kingston Crescent Surgery he has a number of special interest which includes medicine, rheumatology and joint injections. He is a keen tennis player and also enjoys travel.

Dr Peter Kipgen

Dr Kipgen qualified from Barts and the London Medical School in 2006 (MBBS). He completed his GP training in Dorset in 2015 (MRCGP). He has a broad range of experience gained from hospital posts earlier in his career; these include paediatrics, sexual health, orthopaedics and emergency medicine. In his spare time he enjoys hill-walking and is a keen amateur chef. He also enjoys playing and watching sport especially rugby and football.

Dr Philip Monnery qualified from ST George’s Hospital Medical School in 1991, Undertaking a career in the Royal Air force. Initially undertaking surgical training and specialising in Ear, Nose and Throat he became a consultant in the Military in 2006. A change in life goals meant a change to general practice in 2009. He joined Portsdown Group Practice in 2015 and maintains his special interest in ENT and is responsible for the Portsdown Travel Clinic. He is married to Alison and has three children who keep them both very busy. He likes nothing better than to relax in the garden and is frequently seen with either a chainsaw or an axe, what could go wrong!?

Dr Catherine Tuson

Qualifications - BSc, MBChB, MRCGP

Dr Cat Tuson graduated from Warwick University in 2007 and joined the Practice in 2013 having completed her GP training in the North East of England. She has a special interest in orthopaedics and joint injections and also in women’s health.
