"I am actually writing on behalf of my poor Nan. She has been with this surgery for many, many years and I was too for the first 28 years of my life before I decided to go to someone who actually gave a damn. She has for so long now had nothing but pure awfulness from this surgery. From constant late appointments, to being told it's 'because of her age', to being given the wrong medication and the list can go on and on. Whilst waiting for a phone call from a doctor not that long ago she received 3 phones calls in one day from 3 different people all telling her something different? They simply do not have the time to care at this surgery. Understandably they are busy, possibly at times understaffed but they have a duty and neglect is not a part of that duty but seems to play a strong part with this surgery. The receptionists (I say this as a receptionist myself) are 9 times out of 10 just rude and uncaring and monotone. As a receptionist if I spoke on the phone how these people do I would be saying goodbye to my job in a heartbeat. We are currently going through hardship with the pandemic and we all understand how busy surgerys are etc.. but when my Nan called after receiving her Covid jab letter telling her to go online (she doesn't have online) she called the surgery to explain and they told her to call them everyday until they could fit her in. Yes, someone else in the family could do it for her but my current surgery and many people say there is something amiss there telliing her to call in everyday and there probably is with this surgery. Last year I called the surgery on her behalf to complain as I had had enough of the treatment of her, even Nurses going out to see her at her home have said they are disgusted of the doctors surgery treatment of her, and they told me I was not allowed to complain without my Nans permission. We have it on very good authority that this is not true. Why would it be true? It's not as if I was asking to delve into her personal records I wanted to make a complaint that was it. Steer clear, I am much happier with my current surgery, easy to get through to, call when they say they are going to call and they care... which is all you really want isn't it? My poor lovely Nan, if only she had it in her to ditch this surgery and start a new one. I do not trust them with her life."
