"My wife and I have only been with this practice for about 5 years, but we have always been impressed by the service we have received. Telephone calls are answered politely and helpfully, and appointments made easily. The reception staff have always been cheerful and welcoming, and take their time to listen. They never rush or make you feel unwelcome even if the surgery is very busy.
The nursing staff are well trained and well informed, again always cheerful and make you feel at ease in what are sometimes stressful/worrying situations.
A particular doctor is the only GP we have had appointments with and he has been welcoming, very well informed and re-assuring. We both trust his opinion.
We have had call-backs from other GPs when required: these have been prompt and the advice given has been entirely appropriate.
Overall, a very good service and the whole environment is welcoming and re-assuring, and also professionally very competent."

Dr Ko Ko Laing qualified in 1989, his previous surgery in Victory Road merged with the Portsdown Group in April 2010. He is a highly experienced GP, is based in Kingston Crescent Surgery he has a number of special interest which includes medicine, rheumatology and joint injections. He is a keen tennis player and also enjoys travel.

Dr Peter Kipgen

Dr Kipgen qualified from Barts and the London Medical School in 2006 (MBBS). He completed his GP training in Dorset in 2015 (MRCGP). He has a broad range of experience gained from hospital posts earlier in his career; these include paediatrics, sexual health, orthopaedics and emergency medicine. In his spare time he enjoys hill-walking and is a keen amateur chef. He also enjoys playing and watching sport especially rugby and football.

He joined Portsdown Group Practice in 2015 and maintains his special interest in ENT and is responsible for the Portsdown Travel Clinic. He is married to Alison and has three children who keep them both very busy. He likes nothing better than to relax in the garden and is frequently seen with either a chainsaw or an axe, what could go wrong!?

Dr Catherine Tuson

Dr Cat Tuson graduated from Warwick University in 2007 and joined the Practice in 2013 having completed her GP training in the North East of England. She has a special interest in orthopaedics and joint injections and also in women’s health.
