"I received a text in January from the doctors surgery about my birthday review which is March. The end of January i ordered my repeat prescription and went to collect it from the pharmacy on the Saturday to be told that my prescription was stopped till the review. I had no tablets. Which are high blood pressure tablets, i rang the doctors on the Monday and told the receptionist that i been without tablets for 2 days. I was told to collect prescription from the surgery that day, when i got there i was given the prescription and blood test papers i asked there and then if i could book app to see GP, i got the receptionist shaking her head and telling me no got none till after the 19th Feb explained that i needed to see him all i got was her shaking her head i left went to collect my tablets to find that they had sent one prescription found that morning so i ended up with 2, I rang the surgery on the 28th Feb to book app with GP was told by receptionist that she had none till after the 21st March then i was told to ring at 8 am or 4 pm to get one so on the 1st of March i rang at 3.58 pm i was then again told that there was no app i explained that i needed to see him about my leg but was told no i said i will come to sit and wait i was told that it wouldn't make any difference i still wouldn't get to see him i was offered another app at Crankhill lane Saturday morning i told her i wanted to see my own GP. I have now been in contact with the CQC."

Dr Ko Ko Laing qualified in 1989, his previous surgery in Victory Road merged with the Portsdown Group in April 2010. He is a highly experienced GP, is based in Kingston Crescent Surgery he has a number of special interest which includes medicine, rheumatology and joint injections. He is a keen tennis player and also enjoys travel.

Dr Peter Kipgen

Dr Kipgen qualified from Barts and the London Medical School in 2006 (MBBS). He completed his GP training in Dorset in 2015 (MRCGP). He has a broad range of experience gained from hospital posts earlier in his career; these include paediatrics, sexual health, orthopaedics and emergency medicine. In his spare time he enjoys hill-walking and is a keen amateur chef. He also enjoys playing and watching sport especially rugby and football.

Dr Philip Monnery qualified from ST George’s Hospital Medical School in 1991, Undertaking a career in the Royal Air force. Initially undertaking surgical training and specialising in Ear, Nose and Throat he became a consultant in the Military in 2006. A change in life goals meant a change to general practice in 2009. He joined Portsdown Group Practice in 2015 and maintains his special interest in ENT and is responsible for the Portsdown Travel Clinic. He is married to Alison and has three children who keep them both very busy. He likes nothing better than to relax in the garden and is frequently seen with either a chainsaw or an axe, what could go wrong!?

Dr Catherine Tuson

Qualifications - BSc, MBChB, MRCGP

Dr Cat Tuson graduated from Warwick University in 2007 and joined the Practice in 2013 having completed her GP training in the North East of England. She has a special interest in orthopaedics and joint injections and also in women’s health.
